Challenge 1, Day 67

I forgot to turn on my alarm last night when I was heading to bed so I could get up and run this morning. Well for some reason the phone rang at 6:10 this morning so I went ahead and got up and for my run. Since it was late, I decided to run in the neighborhood instead of heading up to the gym for a treadmill interval workout.

I ran my "short" neighborhood course which is around 1.85 miles in 23:04. Pretty good pace for myself I must say. This was a 12:37/mile pace which I am petty pleased with. For the most part, it felt as though I was moving pretty slow but I did get my heart rate up plus the humidity this morning didn't help matters at all.

If my friends cancel on me for lunch today, I'll go ahead and head to the gym and do an interval workout on the treadmill (I think). I want to get my body fat% checked tomorrow to see if I have changed any from the beginning of the month. My BF% by calipers at the gym was 18% back on June 3rd.

Challenge 1, Day 66

Ok, I haven't posted to this in almost 2 months. Well the bodyforlife-tracker.com site has been down for over a week now and I would really like to have my thought posted somewhere so I guess it will be here.

Today was a weight day with an upper body work out. I also ran 1.85 miles this morning in 23:?? Minutes (running log is at home) but the pace was around 12:00/mile pace which is a lot faster than the last time I ran this course a few months back. I don't think I will post my weights/reps stuff here since I am using the BFL success journal to keep track of my workouts and may purchase some software for my pocket pc to use in my next challenge.

I am frustrated because I have been doing BFL for 10 weeks now and haven't lost any weight. I am seeing many changes: muscle growth, veins becoming visible, clothes are becoming loose, etc.. I am going to try for the last 2 weeks of this challenge to add running or 20 minutes on a speed rope to my weight workouts and make as many of my cardio sessions in the morning instead of during my lunch break to see if I can accelerate my fat loss at the end of this challenge. I am planning on getting my BF checked on Friday at the gym to see if its come down from 18% at the beginning of the month.
